The New York Knicks recently acquired Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls, which is a major look for the franchise. Knicks president Phil Jackson isn't looking to stop there though, as sources noted he told Rose that the franchise is looking to add Kevin Durant to the team's 2016-2017 roster starting as early as July 1. The Knicks won't be the only one looking to secure Durant, as teams like San Antonio, Golden State, Los Angeles, and Miami are gunning for the player as well.

There is no guarantee that Durant will make his way to the Knicks, as many see him going Golden State or San Antonio as a more realistic option. The basketball player noted after the conference finals that when he signs to wherever he ends up next month, it will solely be a "basketball decision." There is no telling on how Derrick Rose will make out in New York, but the acquisition of the point guard has given Phil Jackson and franchise some hope for the upcoming season. The addition of Rose seems promising since Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis are there to form a triple threat with the point guard.
