Freddie Gibbs was recently arrested earlier this month in France after a warrant for his arrest was issued for an alleged rape in Austria that took place in 2015. The rapper was released on bail last week and has since then denied any charges and allegations brought up against him.

Since then, the rapper has been awaiting the word on if an extradition to Austria to face the charges was set to take place. Now, a French court has ordered the extradition of the Gary, Indiana rapper to Austria. According to Gibbs' lawyer, the rapper "has no intention of escaping justice whether French or Austrian," and also noted that Gibbs would rather take the liberty of handing himself over to Austrian authorities as opposed to facing the "harsh transfer procedure."

Despite that statement, Gibbs and his lawyer are considering an appeal of the extradition, and have 72 hours to file.
