Following in the footsteps of "Freddie Kane OG" weed innovator, Freddy Gibbs, Harlem's Cam'ron will soon have his very own strain of cannabis, reports High Times. In a recent interview with the magazine the Purple Haze rapper revealed that he has already partaken in research and development work on the project, while on a business trip in San Francisco. The news comes after he struck a deal to put the line out under California brand, Chroncierge.
“I never smelled any of this till I came out here,” he told High Times, explaining what unique variations of the bud he can select from. According to Cam, his strain will be purple or pink, and may bare the flavor of grape soda.
Plans are in the works to put the line out this fall. The timing of it's release could coincide with the day he drops his forthcoming Killah Season 2: The Pink Edition album. Cam is currently performing along side Smoke DZA, Nyck Caution, MobSquad NARD, The Underachievers, G-Herbo, G-Jet and Liam Tracy on the Smoker's Club Tour. DZA is said to have joined Cam'ron on his trip to the Northern California weed farm in which his strain might be cultivated. “I’m fuckin’ blown away, I’m not even gonna lie. I mean, I’ve seen gardens, but this is legit," DZA said of his experience. "And the way they break down every strain—it gave me a whole newfound respect for botany. I respect it.”
