To the amusement of his Instagram followers on Wednesday [June 22], Kevin Hart posted a photo he claimed to be of the burglar who robbed his California mansion recently. Along with a message that ends with a succession of laughing emojis, the image shared is that of a fair-skinned green-eyed man with a ski mask on.  According to Hart, the grainy pic is a still from surveillance footage.

"Here is a picture from the security cameras of the jackass that's been robbing houses....Real smart move wearing the cool ski mask that shows ur eyebrows & the bags under ur eyes.  We are on yo ass man," Hart wrote, before issuing his readers a task.  "I'm about to show u the power of social media....One of my followers might recognize u and might not like you which would mean that they could careless about giving u up....Lets play a game of tell on the robber real quick...who knows I might get lucky!!!!"

Most reactions to the posting were of fans laughing along with the comedian, some throwing out the names of such celebrities as Channing Tatum, Steph Curry, and Donald Trump.  But according to reports, authorities have not been taking the $500,000 heist for a joke.  Local police have been investigating whether there is a connection between the burglary of Hart's home, and the recent break-ins of Chris Rock, Blac Chyna, and Scott Disick.  A similar pattern revealed a band of criminals at the root of the robbery of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and other stars between 2008 and 2009.  The series of incidents would come to serve as inspiration for the 2013 film The Bling Ring.
