Bay Area singer Kehlani once again deleted her Instagram account after the Cavs defeated the Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, her page was blustered by a surge of comments that sought to rub her nose in the success of ex-boyfriend, Kyrie Irving. Re-postings of the point guard's name and a mass dishing of the letter "L" [for loss] came flooding in after he solidified the win with a three point shot that put Cleveland ahead with 53 seconds left. "Kyrie did that, won a championship in her hometown!" wrote one IG user, while another made reference to the man she was alleged to have crept around with while with Irving, writing "PnD don't got a ring."
The termination marks the most recent of a history of hiatus' the 21-year-old has taken from social media since her attempted suicide over the online embellishment of rumors that she had cheated on the Cavs baller with former lover PartyNextDoor. Signs that the troll patrol wasn't ready to let the story die had gradually crept up throughout the finals series, with dozens of Kyrie comments inundating a post she listed for the sale of merchandise, following his 41 point performance in Game 5. Back in May Kehlani even found herself in the presence of hecklers at a show, as a number of people in the crowd began to chant his name.
At this point the Cloud 19 singer's association with her controversy concerning the 3 time All-Star seems unavoidable despite Irving having come out to inform followers that they had actually no longer been a couple when her OVO artist ex posted the suggestive photo that started the rumor. "It's been hard to see what's been going on and not address the truth. I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this non sense that could have been avoided, but me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out," he tweeted then.
