Extremely disturbing news is currently being reported out of Orlando, Florida once again. According to reports, local gay hotspot, Pulse in Orlando, Florida became a scene of sheer horror, after a gunman arrived at the bar with an automatic weapon, and released a reign of terror down upon hostages inside the club. Sources report that the scene turned into a blood bath right around 2 am, and lasted for about two hours resulting in a shocking 53 people being injured, while 50 people were shot and killed in cold blood, just before police were able to shoot and kill the gunman.

Not even a full 24 hours following the unseemly murder of NBC’s The Voice star, Christina Grimmie, where the 22-year-old was shot and killed during a meet-and-greet with her fans on Friday night in Orlando, Florida before horror struck again. Not far down the road, another killer was plotting and masterminding how to wreak havoc on unsuspecting club goers when he arrived at Pulse Nightclub at 2 am only to have a shoot out with cops, before making his way in the club shooting off round after round into a terrified crowd. Chief Policeman John Mina shares,  “It' appears he was organized and well-prepared.” The chief concludes the shooter had an “assault-type weapon, a handgun and "some type of (other) device on him.”

Chief Mina also reports that authorities are considering the gruesome scene an act of domestic terror as the FBI are currently involved. Club patron, Christopher Hansen relives the horrifying scene, "It's just shocking.” Hansen recalls hearing the gunshots, "just one after another after another. It could have lasted a whole song.”

As of now, authorities have yet to reveal any information to the public on what was the motivation behind the mass killings. Following the shooting, victims were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where there was a strict lock-down placed on the facility. In a statement released by the hospital, they emphasize, “Only essential workers are being allowed access into the building.” Our prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and families of those involved in the horrific ordeal.

With the rise in senseless killings taking place at multiple public venues across the U.S., just how safe do you really feel in your own country where guns are so easily accessible to the masses? Some changes have definitely got to be made.
