Former NBA player Speedy Claxton blew off a legal battle over his New York home for months and as a result, he reportedly has been ordered to vacate the premises. The judge gave the mortgage company the go ahead to foreclose on his home and sell if off at public auction.

Speedy, whose real name is Craig, took out a $540K mortgage to purchase a home in Queens back in 2007. Nationstar Mortgage filed a foreclosure lawsuit against Claxton, demanding they be allowed to foreclose on his home and force him to move out. They say the NBA star failed to make his mortgage payment on April 1, 2015, and every month after that.

The balance owed on the New York home -at the time of the lawsuit being filed - was $478,328.69, plus interest and late charges.

Last month, the mortgage company headed back to court and demanded the judge grant them a default judgment due to Claxton never showing up to court.

On May 12th, documents were filed in the case, which show the company's motion was granted in its entirety giving them the power to evict Claxton from the home and sell it at public auction to the highest bidder.

The home is in Far Rockaway, NY, and is listed as having 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and is over 3,000 sq. ft.

Speedy has had a rough couple years, with the former NBA star currently battling it out with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Basketball Wives star Meeka Claxton, in a nasty divorce that has been going on for over a year. The divorce is still pending in New York Court.
