Gucci Mane was released from prison last week and already has his feet planted firmly in the rap game with his new song receiving 1.7 million streams in 2 days.

The rapper uploaded the Mike-Will Made It produced song “First Day Out Tha Feds” to SoundCloud shortly after his release and his fanbase came out to support. An Instagram clip of the song has 18,256 views. “First Day Out the Feds” is actually a follow-up to his 2009 track “First Day Out.” The rapper touches on his karma and people’s perception of him in the song. “They call me crazy so much, I think I’m starting to believe them,” he raps. “I did some things to some people that was downright evil/Is karma coming back to me? So much drama/My own mama turned her back on me/ And that’s my mama.”

Gucci Mane was released from prison last Thursday morning. He was locked up for 2 years after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was able to get out 4 months early thanks to his lawyer filing a motion which stated that the rapper had not received credit for previous time served. Gucci also opened up a new Snapchat account and posted up a few different videos with girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir. One video shows the rapper showing off his post prison physique. Upon his release, various rappers including Casey Veggies, Trinidad James, Juicy J and Big Sean took to social media to voice their support for the newly freed Gucci last week.
