The shooting at T.I.’s Irving Plaza show in New York has had a rippling effect on the hip hop community, mainly because of the severity of the shooting, along with the surprise reveal of the alleged shooter behind the mishap, Troy Ave. Now, backstage footage of the shooting has surfaced via Instagram user chriscole104’s profile, with a caption that pushes forth a theory behind the shooting at the venue. The post alleges that Troy Ave was attempting to confront podcast personality Taxstone for comments he made about the rapper, which then led to gunfire.

The caption said “Where it all started. Greenroom footage of #shootingalledgedly involving #TroyAve... Possibly at this #moment #Troy was #shotin the leg. This is just what I'm hearing not saying it's factual. What is factual is I hear a lady screaming and I personally think it's the one who got hit with a bullet. #rip to Banga and speedy recovery to victims involved.”

The footage seems to align with the story that 26-year-old model Maggie Heckstall told. Heckstall was also shot at the T.I. concert.
