Actor/comedian Nick Cannon flexed in typical "Wild 'N Out" fashion recently, with a rap battle challenge to all emcees.  In a tweet posted just before midnight Friday (May 27), the show's host offered to go verse for verse live on the air with anybody willing to put up $100,000.  Winnings earned from the contest, to take place during 2016's BET Experience, on June 25 in Los Angeles, will go towards a children's hospital, Cannon said.

It took awhile for anyone to come around with a response to the proposal, prompting a series of taunting tweets in the days to follow.  "I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I've talked to a lot of your favorite rappers behind closed doors and they ALL SCARED!," the MTV star started. "Do I have to start calling these dudes out?!," he then said, before cutting deeper. "F#%k it at this point I'll battle your favorite rappers Ghost writer!"

BET has honored the art of rap improvisation for years with it's Hip Hop awards show incorporating The Cypher freestyle segment.  In the 2014 awards in Atlanta Snoop Dogg and Murda Mook clashed in their "Gladiator School" match up.  Mook was one of the challengers to come around as a prospect for Cannon's face off this year as well, following the interest expressed by King Los, Bow Wow and rapper Adrien Broner.  With more than half a dozen rappers having hit him up by Sunday, the idea of having the battle expanded to encompass a full card began to take root.  In any case, those agreeing to the Cannon's terms will be preparing to go 3 two-minute rounds for the consensus of the crowd.
