Although Chicago spitter Chance the Rapper has dominated the social media stratosphere over the past week with his latest project, Coloring Book, Lil Durk is also making waves in a new interview with Rolling Stone. The "Trap House" rapper makes it clear who he thinks is at the top of the food chain when it comes to ranking the talent in Chicago, as he considers himself the number one rapper in his city.

Durk held back on the modesty when asked by the interviewer if he considered himself among the elite hip-hop talent in his city. The Southside Chicago rapper naturally said “yes” but then went on to elaborate saying, "Nah, but definitely number one. No shade to the other artists in Chicago. Salute [to] all the Chicago artists that's turnt up, doing they thing right now. But if you got confidence in yourself and you know you number one, say it."

Durk also went on to speak about his upcoming album, Lil Durk 2X which was originally slated to be a mixtape. However, he explains after letting some of his well-respected comrades in the game such as Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti and Young Thug listen to it, their advice gave him the confidence to make the labor of love an EP versus a mixtape.

Would you agree, is Durk the number one rapper coming out of Chicago right now?
