"Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" star, and former fugitive Karen "KK" King found herself behind bars again Monday night (May 23), on charges stemming from an embezzlement incident in Atlanta last summer. The arrest was made outside of ATL's Level V nightclub, from which she was taken to Fulton County Jail and booked for financial identity fraud, theft by taking, and first-degree forgery according to jail records. The police report that eventually led to a warrant for King had been filed back in October.

According to reports, on August 30th King was assisted by an employee and one other party in embezzling merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza. She is accused of having used the false identity of a "Diane Wodey" in using a stolen credit card to make $5,000 worth of purchases. Sales associate Armani Harper admitted to authorities that she had "knowingly rang sales that were being paid for with fraudulent credit cards and received kickbacks."

King came on to the popular show with a criminal reputation in tact. Viewers might recall her airing a promo for L&HH in which she addressed her infamous 2012 appearance on "America's Most Wanted" for assaulting her ex-boyfriend. “Yes, I was on the run. Yes, I was on ‘America’s Most Wanted.’ Even my dog was on ‘America’s Most Wanted. I’ve been to prison, not one time but a few times. It’s unfortunate. I made mistakes,” she said at the time. “But when you’re a single mom and you don’t want your kids to struggle, you might make some choices that are not so good.”
