Drake has been using a lot of Dancehall influences in his music and fans were delighted to hear the song "Controlla" featuring Jamaican star Popcaan.  Fans then became upset however when "VIEWS" was released and Popcaan was removed from the song and replaced with an old Beenie Man sample.  Mr. Vegas especially took offense and called out Drake in a series of Facebook posts and calling into Hot 97 to blast Drake for what he says is exploitation of Dancehall music.

“On the records that Jamaican artists are sampled, no one even sees their names,” Mr. Vegas told Ebro. “If you are going to come to this culture… put [Dancehall artists] on properly and give them an opportunity to create a name for themselves outside of their base market. What is so wrong with giving someone proper crediting?”

While Vegas and others came to Popcaan's defense, Poppy came out with a video of his own defending Drake

"Don’t try and violate my brother, now. You don’t know anything about Unruly or OVO," said Popcaan.  He continued to tell Vegas to leave Drake alone and that he can handle his own affairs, he doesn't need Vegas' help.  He also pointed out that Vegas has dissed him in the past so he doesn't need him to come to his defense now.

Mr. Vegas responded with a video of his own saying, "Memba seh di Jamaican people dem di sell out Marcus Garvey fi rice and peas yuh know, suh ah nuh nuttin new.  So we stay, but him never stop fight fi dem.  Yuh done know."

Basically he's saying Popcaan is defending Drake because he's getting money. He likened him to the Jamaican people who sold out Marcus Garvey - a Jamaican civil rights activist - for food.  He also says Garvey didn't stop fighting for them meaning he'll continue to point out the injustices, mainly the exploitation.
