Super producer Just Blaze recently revealed that he’s working “extensively” with Snoop Dogg on a new project that reminds him of the rapper’s early Death Row material.

While speaking with Billboard this week, Blaze said he’s a fan of much of Snoop’s work and is excited to be in the studio with him now creating what he said is an “updated version” of Snoop’s early G-Funk style.

“For me personally, I love all the experimental things that he’s done the past few years, like the Bush album, the album with Wiz, the Snoop Lion stuff,” said Blaze. “But my personal favorite albums from Snoop besides Doggystyle, obviously are albums like ‘Paid the Cost to Be Da Boss,’ ‘Rhythm and Gangsta’ where he kind of goes back to that Snoop personality that we all first fell in love with.”

Blaze, a frequent collaborator with Jay Z,  recently bragged about being one of the most trustworthy people to work with inside the music industry claiming that he has at least two albums worth of the rapper’s material that would never see the light of day. “I have at least two albums’ worth of Jay Z material sitting in my vault. So it’s not that they ever have to worry about me leaking records or releasing information,” said Blaze to SPIN while revealing that he did not have to sign any kind of disclosure agreements while working with Beyonce on her new Lemonade album.
