Florida rapper Rashay “Shay Baby” Garrison was recently shot to death because of his rap video called “Cold Outchea” that was posted to YouTube in April. The Gainesville Sun reported that Garrison was shot by Ishmael Daniels, who found the rapper’s video and song subject matter offensive. In the song, Shay Baby addresses all of the things he has seen in his life, from robberies and sibling killings, to snitching and child molestation.

According to a police report, Ishmael Daniels was driving around in a rental car and followed Shay Baby until the rapper parked. Once the rapper parked his car, Daniels pulled up on the side and fired over 10 shots from a rifle into the passenger side window of the vehicle. The passenger in Shay Baby’s car was hit once and got out, managing to escape the scene. However, Shay Baby was not able to leave the car, as he was struck multiple times by the high-caliber rifle.

The police were able to track down Daniels after he returned his rental car. According to the passenger who was in Daniels’ car, the shooter attempted to clean the vehicle with bleach to rid the car of any evidence tying him to the shooting. Daniels was charged with attempted murder, one count of murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bail is currently set at one million dollars.
