On Friday, the self-proclaimed ‘Six God,’ Drake, released his highly anticipated album, Views. While official numbers have yet to be released, the album seems to have a polarizing effect on listeners. Drake revealed at an impromptu concert in Toronto last night that he had surpassed his own record and is gearing up to have his largest opening week ever, as he claims he sold 630,000 copies of Views’ on its opening day.

According to reports, Drake is projected to move a massive amount of units in his first week of sales for his latest project. Sources suggest Drake could see numbers as high as $2 million in sales the first week out the gate, which is a tremendous feat for a rapper as it hasn’t been done since Lil Wayne’s, Carter 3. In addition to Drake’s Views doing stellar numbers in its first week of sales,  he also announced his upcoming "Summer Sixteen" tour alongside Future, which will kick off July 20 in Austin, TX, and will not doubt be a sold out affair.

Prior to Views’ release, Drake sat down with Beats 1’s, Zane Lowe for an interview before the global listening party kicked off. When Lowe asked Drake about how he thought Views would be received he expressed, "I don’t want you to get it right away ... Great music takes a little work. It takes elevating your listening level.”

What do you think, did Views live up to the hype?
