A couple of lucky folks hitching a cab ride out in Seattle got the chance meeting of their lives recently, when to their surprise they had each come to their stop to realize that the driver chatting them up the whole time was none other than Richard Sherman. The star Seahawks Corner took the wheel donning a Rasta cap and shades for an episode that aired as a part of Lyft's Undercover Lyft series, Wednesday. Previous installments of the show, in which the ride-share company places athletes as cab drivers in the city that roots them on, invited 49'ers great Jerry Rice to route the streets of San Francisco and NASCAR star Danica Patrick to push the peddle around Charlotte.

"I would've thrown the flag on both of them. Personal foul; unnecessary driving," Sherman at one point says, in reaction to a couple of cars at the light. From the moment the passenger of each ride enters the car they become subject to Richard's trademark ramblings.

As was the case in the Rice episode, one passenger did happen to recognize who she was in the presence of, but the other five didn't reveal that they had caught on. Despite a constant helping of clues, the city's most recognizable athlete goes unrecognized until he introduces himself upon arriving at their destination. In the Rice episode the former wide receiver and Dancing with the Stars contestant pulls the car over at one point, asking if he may get out to stretch and take a dance break. The unsuspecting Seattleites were clearly entertained by Sherman's magnetism, but just as lost, as he continues to make inconspicuous references to his NFL experience; telling one passenger he only watches the middle rounds of the NFL draft [Sherman was a 5th round pick], telling another that he tries to vacation in Hawaii every year, where he bumps into some colleagues he doesn't like [Hawaii hosts the annual Pro-Bowl].

"I've been a big Seahawks fan since I got here six years ago. ... 2011 was the first year. They had this cocky little corner who was a rookie named Richard Sherman, and now they're real good every year," the cocky driver tells one of the woman in response to her checking in on whether he's just another band-wagon fan of the hometown club. Whether her giddy reactions on the hidden camera indicate that she ever had an inkling it was him is unclear. Had she thought back to when she first entered the car, the dots might have connected. "My name is Richy. I'll be the best driver you've ever had," she might've recalled him saying.
