Emily Pitha, a 34-year-old woman in Phoenix, Arizona who recently worked on campaign fundraising for the GOP and also listed as the RSVP contact for Senator John McClain was arrested along with another person on suspicion of drug charges after police found a meth lab and other drugs while carrying out a search warrant on her home.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, they were looking out for possible drug activity at the woman’s home, specifically in the form of a package that was in transit from from Netherlands. The package contained 250 grams of MDMA. While searching the woman’s home, an meth lab was found, along with LSD, cocaine, meth, heroin, and $7000 dollars cash. The property also had a separate building that contained a secluded room where marijuana was being grown. The police noted that there were two children, ages 5 and 10, who were living in the home while all of these drugs were being processed. Because of that, Pitha and her boyfriend are facing child-endangerment charges along with drug violations.

John McCain’s campaign manager issued a statement this week, saying “We commend the hard work and dedication of our law enforcement officers in their fight to keep our community safe from illegal drugs and associated criminal activity. The campaign immediately terminated any relationship with Ms. Pitha upon learning of her alleged involvement in the operation.”
