A 13-year-old boy was shot twice by undercover Baltimore police after they thought the replica gun he was carrying was real. According to the Baltimore Sun, Dedric Colvin was wounded in his shoulder and leg and is expected to live. The incident took place Wednesday afternoon when two officers in an unmarked car approached the teen who had the replica gun in his hand. Colvin's mother says the weapon was a BB gun, but Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis, said it resembled too closely to an actual handgun.

"It is a dead-on ringer, semi-automatic pistol that resembles a Beretta handgun," Davis said. "Those police officers had no way of knowing that it was not, in fact, an actual firearm. It looks like a firearm."
