Iggy Azalea made it clear that she never wants to be referred to as "Becky" after a follower referred to her by the name on Twitter. While clarifying that she wasn't shading Beyonce for using the name in "Lemonade," Iggy made it clear that she never wants to be referred to as a Becky.

She went on to explain that "Becky" has been reserved as a nickname for basic white women, adding, "Generalizing ANY race by calling them one sterotypical name for said race. i personally dont think is very cool, the end. Dont call all asian women 'ming lee' dont call white women 'becky' dont call black women 'sha nay nay.'"
