After a bit of tension earlier this year, Jay Electronica has seemingly waved the white flag in his beef with rappers 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar. On Saturday (April 23), Electronica started handing out compliments on Twitter to some of hip hop’s most popular personalities. He extended appreciation to PartyNextDoor, Chris Brown, Solange, and more for their music and game changing efforts.

In a surprising move, Electronica apologized for criticizing Lamar and 50’s music. Electronica has taken multiple shots at Kendrick including saying, “Kendrick is my son, Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me” during a Periscope session in February. Spawning the Compton-born emcee to respond via a few bars on his “Untitled” album. Electronica started his praise of Lamar saying, “Peace to K dot and TDE because regardless to whom or what we are brothers fighting the same enemy. Forgive my past transgressions”.

Although, 50 has yet to acknowledge the physical threats and insults from Electronica, the emcee decided to retract his prior comments. He continued his peace treaty by addressing his feelings about 50 saying, “Peace to 50 as well. That’s my brother and I love him. I’m just waiting for him to let his greatness shine."

Evidently, the truce comes after Electronica was advised to settle disputes and use his influence to bring people together by Minister Louis Farrakhan saying, “The Minster told me to unite our people not divide them”.
