Florida based rapper, Kodak Black, had quite a Friday after leading the police on a car chase, being arrested and charged with drug and gun possession, being released from jail, and flying to Birmingham, AL to perform. The Pompero Beach native posted a $5,000 bond Friday evening.
Kodak let fans know he was free by posting a picture on Instagram while posing in the same clothes he was arrested wearing in the Miami International Airport. Kodak included a line from fellow Floridian, Trick Daddy’s, hit song in the caption saying, “From The Cell, To The Airport! “Baby Cause Im A Thug. Birmingham Tonight #Flies”. Kodak performed at the Merienda Lounge in Birmingham as scheduled on Friday night. The 18-Year old rapper is facing serious jail time over the weapons charge because he is convicted felon. Kodak plead guilty to attempted robbery in 2012, at the age of 14.
The “SKRT” rapper is currently performing in Southern states for his Going Up Top Tour.
