Although the world is still reeling from the shocking news of Prince’s untimely death on Thursday (April 16). Fans can’t help but reminisce and think of all the unforgettable moments he contributed to the culture prior to his departure. While Prince was known as a musical genius amongst his fans and contemporaries, he was also known as the “king of shade” which is evident in a throwback video clip of a performance back in 2011 where he kicked Kim Kardashian off his stage.
In the funny clip that is gaining traction once again, Prince called Kardashian to the stage while performing to a packed house at Madison Square Garden in NYC to show off her signature curves as well as some sexy dance moves. However, within 60 seconds of Kardashian just standing around while Prince energetically bopped around the stage, the artist quickly told the reality star to exit stage left. Prince unceremoniously yelled at Kardashian in the footage, “Get off the stage!” Giving her a good-natured shove toward the stairs to prod her along.
This is just one of the many times Prince endeared fans to him, with his unapologetic way of “keeping it funky” or telling like it is without filter.
Gone too soon, but never forgotten. Prince your light will surely be missed.
