A young 18-year-old may have ruined the unspoken courtesy cup you are able to get at many fast food spots, because he was charged with felony robbery for dumping his water out and filling his cup up with soda at a McDonald’s. According to Eater, Arkansas resident Cody Morris was with two of his friends when they pulled up to a McDonald’s drive-thru and ordered three cups of water. Once they received the water, the three of them dumped out the water, went into McDonald’s and proceeded to fill their cups up with soda.

From there, the manager called the police and reported the incident as a robbery for reasons unknown. According to reports, the two friends gave their drinks back to the restaurant with no problem, but Morris did not cooperate. The 18-year-old ran off with his drink after his friends surrendered theirs. Morris then went to his car and attempted to leave, but according to police, the teen ended up hitting the manager twice with his car when his escape path was blocked. The police also mentioned that the teen’s car was found parked outside of a bowling alley later on. Morris was then arrested and charged with felony robbery. The teen was eventually released on a $2,500 bond.

According to Eater, $2,500 is equivalent to the cost of 1,700 large sodas from McDonald’s.
