Lil Wayne recently dropped-by DJ Drama's Shade45 radio show to chat about his collaboration with 2 Chainz, amongst other matters of his career, past and present.  Before Wayne, whose been in limbo at Cash Money, moved on to clarify that he's working on fixing his "situation", he commanded the attention of the artists in the room (including Usher, who shuffled in mid-interview) as he recalled receiving an offer to join Roc-A-Fella Records by Jay Z himself.

"We was at the 40/40 in the day time, and when I got up there it was Denzel, it was Derek Jeter (I was like, this is his click?) and they're up there just laughing at jokes I just don't get.  He literally sat me down next to him ... and he would talk to me on the side, like after every joke," Wayne recounts.  "Man, that man offered me 175.  I was looking at him like: 'two teeth in my mouth is like $175,000.' "

The New Orleans rapper began the memory by highlighting that he felt alright telling the story now that they're cool. Despite the low ball offer, he makes it clear that there is no love lost, "It's something we laugh about all the time."

Out of the 13 tracks 2 Chainz dropped on his Collegrove album, Wayne is featured on eight of them.  Now, he's looking to continue his legendary mixtape status with the coming of another DJ Drama partnership, with the soon to be released Dedication 6.  He also responded to DJ Drama's inquiry into whether we might see a collaboration with Shawn Carter anytime soon, by stating, "Once I get my situation right you're going to see a lot of everything."
