Ciara and Ludacris are set to host the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 22nd. Early Monday (April 11) morning, the Atlanta artists stopped by Good Morning America to announce the nominees for the sales/airplay driven award show.

The Body Party singer was in the midst of announcing the nominees for Best Rap Artist when she suddenly went silent as a picture of her ex-fiancé, Future, appeared on the screen. After a long pause, Ciara’s co-host, Ludacris, recognized her hesitation and filled in to say, “Future”, and Ciara proceeded announcing the remaining nominees.

Ciara and Future are engaged in multiple legal battles over custody of their son and comments made by the rapper towards the recently engaged singer. In February, Ciara filed a $15 million lawsuit against the Purple Reign rapper for libel after he made negative comments about her parenting choices and called her “b***” on Twitter.
