Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest Passes Away at 45

Phife Dawg (Malik Taylor) of legendary Hip Hop group A Tribe Called Quest has passed away at the age of 45.  Cause of death is currently unknown, but Phife has had a long battle with diabetes, which led to a kidney transplant in 2008.

A Tribe Called Quest was formed in 1985 by longtime friends Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Jarobi and Phife Dawg.  The group released 5 albums:
