Yesterday 22-year-old Dwright Boone-Doty was charged with the murders of nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee and Brianna Jenkins, 19, in what prosecutors say were acts of gang retaliation between members of Bang Bang Gang/Terror Dome and Killa Ward. While in jail, Boone-Doty unknowingly admitted to the killings after an informant revealed the suspect had several conversations with him. Chicago detectives wired the informant and later found out Boone-Doty had planned the attack for an unspecified amount of time, targeting Tyshawn Lee's grandmother at first after Terror Dome affiliate Tracey Morgan was shot and killed. Morgan's mother was wounded in the attack.

Plotting revenge for Morgan's death, Boone-Doty, Tracey's brother Corey and a third suspect allegedly targeted "grandmas, mamas, kids and all." Boone-Doty spotted Lee - whose father is allegedly part of Killa Ward - at a play lot and lured him into the alley in the 8000 block of South Damen Avenue after promising him anything he wanted from the store. The nine-year-old was shot repeatedly, though according to prosecutors, he originally planned to torture him by cutting off his fingers and ears. Boone-Doty reportedly laughed as he shot the fourth grader in the head, telling the informant ""Shorty, he couldn't take it no more." He also boasted about the rap he made detailing the murder. Karla Lee, Tyshawn's mother, left the hearing at some point to cry in the hallway.

Brianna Jenkins was shot Oct. 18, 2015 by Boone-Doty "because she started screaming" after he saw her with a rival gang member. "You are going to deal with a higher power," said Jenkins' mother, Mary. Boone-Doty is now being held without bail on two counts of murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery. Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez was quoted saying "The intentional murder of Tyshawn Lee is the among the worst I have ever seen in my almost 30 years as a prosecutor."

Boone-Doty's mother was reported stating ""Did I raise my son to be this type of (person) that they're portraying him to be? Hell, no.."
