Despite Kanye's assertation that TLOP would indefinitely be a Tidal-only exclusive, according to a report by BBC, Mr. West's 7th studio album has been illegally downloaded over half a million times already. This estimate comes from Torrent Freak.
Ye released his album through Tidal just 3 days ago after his star-studded performance on Saturday Night Live, with the ability to purchase a download for $20. Aside from complaining about the steep price tag, many subscribers have said they never received the album despite having paid for it.
The album is currently the most popular music download on many torrent sites. While, the RIAA has filed close to two dozen requests for Google to remove the album from websites offering illegal downloads, it seems to be ineffective.
