Noela Rukundo of Australia gave her husband, Balenga Kalala, quite the surprise after walking into what he believed was her funeral after he hired a team of hitmen to kill his wife. Reports say Kalala hired the hitment because he believed his wife would leave him for another man. According to the Washington Post, the hitmen decided that they were going to keep the $7,000 Noel's husband paid them and they let her go free. The woman waited until her grieving friends and family walked into the funeral home before she walked in to confront her husband, who believed he was seeing a ghost.
Kalala was sentenced to nine years behind bars after Rukundo provided evidence from the hitmen, including recorded phone conversations and a receipt of the $7,000 they were given in payment.
