After nearly a year of dating, Mariah Carey has gotten engaged to her Australian billionaire boyfriend, James Packer. E! News confirmed the engagement, and added that Packer proposed to the famed singer with a 35 carat diamond ring.
The two first met in 2014 at a movie premiere in Aspen, and Mariah told Steve Harvey that they bonded over people getting mad at them for talking and laughing during the film. Mariah added, "We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So, we hit it off."
This will be the third marriage for both James and Mariah, who split from husband Nick Cannon in 2014.
