Update:

Our readers have pointed out that white nominees at the BET Awards have included: Eminem, Sam Smith, Robin Thicke, Iggy Azalea, Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber.  Some of which have even won.

Last week the Academy Awards Announced their nominations for the best actor category with not a single minority actor selected. Actors such as Will Smith (Concussion), Jason Mitchel (Straight Outta Compton), Micheal P. Jordan (Creed) and Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation) were all excluding from Academy Nominations.

"For the second year in a row, every acting nominee at the Academy Awards is white", said a entertainment weekly publication released last week.  Minority actors such as Jada Pinkett Smith have pledged to boycott the Awards: "Chris Rock I will not be at the academy awards and I won't be watching but  I can't think of a better man to do the job at hand this year then you my friend. Good luck," she stated in a video posted to Facebook on Monday.

Since then, much speculation and controversy has surrounded the Academy Awards' issue of race. Wednesday, January 20,  on Fox and Friends Stacey Dash gave her perspective on the  issues of race surounding the Academy Awards: "Either we want to have segregation or intergration. If we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Award, where you're only awarded if you're black."

Shortly after, presidential hopeful Donald trump gave his opinion, stating: "The whites don't  get any nominations, and I thought it was an amazing interview, actually. I've never even thought of it from that standpoint."

What's your reaction to Trump's statement?
