Ice Cube stopped by The Wendy Williams Show this week while on a promo tour for his new film, Ride Along 2. During his sit-down with the talk show host Cube was applauded for his work with F. Gary Gray's Straight Outta Compton, which stars his son and several other up and coming actors. Despite it making over $200 million worldwide since its August release, the biopic's stars weren't recognized by the Oscars or Golden Globes. Ice Cube, however, said he "can't be mad." "I'm not pissed. I'm not surprised. It's the Oscars, you know. They do what they do," Cube reasoned.

When asked how he would have felt had N.W.A. not have been put on this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tab, Cube replied it would have been "familiar territory" since it's happened more often than not. "It is nice to be recognized but N.W.A. was anti-establishment, so we're used to people trying to dismiss what we gotta say. We're used to the industry really looking down on us. We were the black sheeps of the industry, so we're used to it."
