On January 3, a Buddhist monk was robbed at a South Philly gas station by a suspect who remains at large. As shown in the surveillance footage above, the 61-year-old monk took to the station's ticket machine when a larger man approached him and grabbed his wallet. The thief immediately ran outside, to which the monk followed in order to retrieve his stolen property. The victim struggled with the robber until he was pushed to the ground, but never gave up as he ran to the suspect's car window in an attempt to stop him from pulling off.
