Over the weekend, rapper Blac Youngsta was detained outside of a Wells Fargo after withdrawing $200,000 from the bank, which the establishment has since denied. Wells Fargo released a statement following the incident, as they claim that Black Youngsta, born Sam Benson, "is not an account holder with us," adding, "He did not enter our store nor did he make any withdrawals."

The statement continued, "A fraudulent incident did occur in the store so in the best interest of our customer, we reported it to law enforcement right away and as a result, a suspect was apprehended and the customer was not the victim of fraud. Mr. Benson was not a party to the fraudulent incident.

We're confident that our description of the suspect was appropriate. It is documented in the police report. We encourage you to review it."

Officers were originally called to the bank after a man, only identified as a "black male," tried to pass a $24,000 forged check. When police arrived they found Benson, who has since been ruled out as a suspect.
