A grand jury decided that no one will be indicted in the death of Sandra Bland, a black woman who was found hanged in her Texas jail cell in July. Her family disputed that she hung herself, and they sought unspecified damages from Texas Department of Public Safety, the officer who arrested her, Waller County, and two jailers.

Darrell Jordan, one of the special prosecutors for the case, revealed that the grand jury will reconvene in January to address unknown remaining issues regarding the case.
