Earlier in the week many anticipated the long-awaited release of Bobby Shmurda, the now 21-year-old Brooklyn rapper who shook up Summer 2014 with his first hit single, "Hot N***a." On December 17th of last year, Bobby was arrested(along with his affiliates) on charges including (but not limited to) attempted murder, drug trafficking and conspiracy, and has been on Rikers Island ever since.

After rumors of his impending release hit the Internet a few days ago, unfortunate news came out today stating that for the sixth time this year, Bobby Shmurda has been denied bail by Judge James Burke. Bobby's aunt, Janelle DeFreitas, reportedly offered four real estate properties for collateral in his new bail package, but all was overlooked as Shmurda remains behind bars and is scheduled to see the judge again on January 11th.

Back in October Shmurda talked to Ebro In the Morning from Rikers about his estranged relationship with his label, Epic Records, and his $2 million dollar bail that has yet to be posted. "They want 100 percent. They don't want 25 percent. They don't want 40 percent. They don't want 50. They want the whole $2 million," he told the radio show.
