The issue of police brutality has been taking over headlines the entire year and famed activist and rapper KRS-One shared his thoughts on the situtation during a recent interview with CNN. The Bronx-born rapper's 1993 single "Sound of Da Police" is still relevant with today's issues, and KRS-One believes things are worse today than ever before.

"Things have gotten worse because we have an African-American president and it seems like racism in the United State is overflowing. This is the problem with the United States, there's no leadership."

He added, "A leader would say, 'Police brutality is an oxymoron, there are no brutal police. The minute you become brutal you're no longer police. So, what we're not dealing with police. We're dealing with a federally authorized gang."
