Rapper Boosie Badazz lost half of his kidney during an intensive surgery Tuesday (Dec. 8). Doctors reportedly performed a procedure called nephrectomy to rid the rap star's cancer.

According to TMZ, Boosie is still recovering and apparently spent $90,000 of his own money to pay for his medial expenses. For now, Boosie will not be jumping back on stage just yet... the rapper will head to a cancer rehab facility for three weeks to get back on track.

Boosie updated fans on his status after undergoing surgery for his kidney cancer, and the Louisiana spitter revealed that the cancer was removed. A post on the rapper's Instagram read, "I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney... Thanks to all Boosie family and friends and all my real Boosie fans for all the prayers from #badazzmusicsyndicate... I am a #cancersurvivor."

After revealing to fans that he has kidney cancer, Boosie Badazz told his Instagram followers that he's going in for surgery. The Louisiana emcee took to Instagram to tell fans, "I really appreciate the love n concern that's been giving to me since I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Tommorrow I go n for surgery n I need prayers for a great surgery n rehabilitation at the MdAnderson cancer center."

Wednesday morning, rapper Boosie Badazz announced on Instagram that doctors have found cancer on his kidneys. The 33-year-old told his 2 million followers to pray for him before deleting his caption, "I need all my fans to pray for me. Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys. Prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know."

Although, the Louisiana native hasn't elaborated on his health status since his post-and-delete, fans flooded his timeline with support. What do you think about this unfortunate news?
