Four men are in custody after a shooting in Minneapolis on Monday (Nov. 23) night. According to NBC News, two men aged 21 and 26 turned themselves into police, and two other men were arrested. While the identity of the men are not being revealed, three of the men have been described as white and the other man is listed as Asian.
The group of men were said to have confronted demonstrators, leaving five people wounded. One of the victims, Wesley Martin, told NBC affiliate KARE11 that he believes the shooting was racially motivated, "I heard the N-word. And after that, everybody started rushing towards them. So we get to 14th and Morgan and all I hear is pow, pow, pow, pow, pow."

Monday, five protesters were shot during a candle light vigil for Jamar Clark, 24, in Minneapolis, MN. The peaceful protest held at the 4th precinct for another black male shot and killed by police on Nov. 15 was disrupted by violent gunfire leaving several injured by alleged white supremacists, according to witnesses. Many attended the protest to seek justice for Clark after witnesses say that he was restrained when cops discharged their weapons, killing him.
Minneapolis Police tweeted early Tuesday morning, "5 people shot near 4th PCT, transported to hospital w/ non-life threatening injuries. OFCs searching for 3 white male suspects."
An official statement released by the police say the victims were attended to and the matter is currently under investigation, "Dozens of officers responded almost immediately attending to victims and secured the scene," police said. "Additional resources were called in and are actively investigating the shootings, interviewing a multitude of witnesses. The Police Department is working to identify suspects. The police are asking that anyone with information to please come forward."
