Metro Boomin cleared up his previous tweets about rappers trying to gain hype by putting out multiple mixtapes in a year, and the producer made it clear that he wasn't speaking about Young Thug. The St. Louis-born producer wrote, "You gotta be crazy if you think I subtweeted Thug. That's corny. People are allowed to believe what they want though. True or not."

Check out the tweet above.

Despite having worked with St. Louis native, Metro Boomin in the past, rapper Young Thug took to twitter to call out the producer over comments he made regarding Future's success releasing mutliple mixtapes within the past year.

Nov. 9, Metro Boomin who is now based in Atlanta, hailed the success of his frequent collaborator Future while downplaying other artists. During his twitter rant  he stated that artists are rushing their work versus taking the time to put out some classic hits. "Everyday I wake up, new mixtapes are falling out of the sky.. I think we all know where the trend came from lol," initially tweeted the 22-year-old. He then went on to elaborate his point after facing a barrage of backlash online sourcing famed DJs and other artists for the trend.

"All I'm saying is, I wish that everyone would put out more quality music over the quantity. It's a marathon, not a sprint." He added, "Moral of the story is, putting out 5 tapes in a year won't make you heat up like Future. That was just his path. It's not for everyone."

It was then that the "Stoner" rap star decided to direct his reaction to Metro for more clarification on which artist(s) he was referring to, "Hey @MetroBoomin who u referring to?" he added, "Put some names on that sh** lil boy @MetroBoomin."

Young Thugger added more insult to injury tweeting a Jackson 5 reference, "A ni*** music couldn't ever sound nowhere near mines... IM MICHEAL he's TITO."
