Rachel Dolezal made headlines earlier this year after it was revealed that the former President of the Washington NAACP was claiming she is Black, despite being born to White parents. Now, Dolezal is speaking out on her thoughts on race and which one she identifies with during an interview with The Real.

When host Jeannie Mai told Dolezal, "When you say you're black it makes it hard for people to see where you're coming from," Rachel responded by saying, "Right, and that's why I said 'I acknowledge that I was biologically born White to White parents.'" Her statement drew applause from the crowd as Tia Mowry told Dolezal, "That's all they wanted."
