Drake's recent Instagram post of him dancing to "SKRT" by Florida rapper Kodak Black opened up a conversation led by Earl Sweatshirt about the Toronto rapper shouting out new artists.

The West Coast emcee started out by sarcastically tweeting, "drake found kodak black? smh welp," which he quickly had to defend against a follower who accused Earl of being a "hipster." He explained,  "naw bro. no hipster nothing. drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap n***** and i don't want lil kodak to be a victim of it."

The "Chum" rapper later added that he feels like Drake's shout outs are "self serving," which led to him pointing out that "the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry one."
