America is in for a huge change next year. As President Barack Obama makes his way out of the White House, a slew of hopefuls are preparing to attempt to take his place. Yesterday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, super-producer Pharrell Williams chopped it up about the upcoming election, and he made it clear who he's rooting for by telling the viewers and Ellen "it's time for a woman to be in there."

After being applauded for endorsing Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, "The Voice" coach went on to explain why he's doing so. "Women think about things in a holistic way, it's not just so individual," he began. "One of the greatest things is that this is the land of opportunity. One of the things that I feel like we could work on is that we're so easily sensationalized...People are like, 'okay, we need a President that we can play Scrabble and Celebrity with,' but that's not who's gonna solve your problems." With a more serious tone Pharrell adds that we "need somebody who's gonna take it serious. So she does have a serious tone, but I feel like when things get done it's by someone who's being serious about it."
