When asked by DJ Vlad if he saw the rap battle between Keith Murray and Fredro Starr, Charlamagne Tha God said "No, I didn't waste my time watching that." Though he thinks Murray is "one of the most phenomenal rappers ever," he simply "didn't see the intrigue between a Keith Murray/Fredro battle." "Like, I thought Keith Murray would wash Fredro, because I never knew Fredro to be an emcee," Charlamagne reasoned.
During the interview Charlamagne also shares his belief that "there's an age limit on battle rap." "You can't be a 40+ year-old battle rapper," he explains, adding that "only younger people can get away with" spitting certain bars.
