J. Cole was among the thousands of people gathering on the National Mall to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March, as well as calling for police reform and changes in the black community. Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who spearheaded the original event, will give a speech on Saturday's event, dubbed as the "Justice or Else" march.

Farrakhan sent out a statement ahead of the march which read, "I plan to deliver an uncompromising message and call for the government of the United States to respond to our legitimate grievances."

Sybrina Fulton, the mother of slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, spoke at the event, and she told the crowd, "This isn't about civil rights, it's about human rights!" The families of Sandra Bland and Michael Brown also spoke at the event.
