Gerod Roth remains under fire after being let go from his job for racist comments made about a former coworker's son. In a recent interview with FOX News, Roth expressed his thoughts on the situation, but while doing so made himself out to be a victim as well.

"My entire post was taken out of context," Gerod began as he toyed around with his phone. The former Polaris Marketing Group employee was fired from his position after his Facebook friends made racial remarks about Sydney Shelton's three-year-old son, Cayden Jenkins. Gerod - who goes by "Geris Hilton" online - even chimed in underneath the photo of him and Cayden and called the little boy "feral," though he says he never meant it in a derogatory way. Roth claims he was simply responding to a friend who made a comment about "wild kids" running rampant at his place of work, though he understands why his words were misconstrued. "I feel as if not only poor Cayden himself has been victimized, but also myself for being targeted," he told FOX.

Cayden's mother, Sydney, also spoke to FOX News, and she was clearly not amused by the insults and comments hurled at her son. "He is not a deaf child. He is not mute. He has never been abandoned," she rattled off. "He is a well-loved, fun-loving, hyper-active and typical three-year-old."
