A New York man caused a crash involving an MTA bus while evading police during a chase in Queens. According to the New York Daily News, Chevron Parchment, 24, was stopped by police on Saturday (October 3) for not wearing a seat belt, and he sped away from the officers before they were finished speaking to him.

Parchment then blew through a red light and collided with a Q113 bus, which swerved and crashed into two parked cars and ended up the home where a man was celebrating his 74th birthday. No one in the home was reportedly hurt, while twelve people on the bus, including the driver, were treated for minor injuries.

After searching Parchment's car, police recovered 64 bags of cocaine, leading to charges of drug possession, reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration, along with traffic violations.
