Rich Homie Quan has issued an apology to his fans and family after he was seen smoking marijuana with his infant son on his lap.

According to Global Grind, the rap star faced major scrutiny and raised concerns from Child Protective Services this week, when he posted a video on the popular app Snapchat of himself smoking with his son Loyal. In a lengthy Instagram post, the rapper explains his actions and says he regretted to continue smoking when his son jumped into his lap.

He also stressed the importance of his son's safety, telling fans he would never do anything to intentionally harm the child. "By no means would I do anything to hurt my son or any kid in the world," he said. "I regret that I chose to continue to smoke once Royal jumped in my lap.After looking back on it I realize my error and I am sorry for my actions." Earlier this year, the Atlanta native found himself in several legal binds, including an assault case for allegedly fighting a nightclub bouncer in Miami, Fla.
