Rapper iHeart Memphis - real name Richard Colbert - is currently being accused of raping a young woman in Raleigh, a suburb in Memphis, Tennessee.
The 22-year-old man behind the popular dance craze and song "Hit the Quan" allegedly raped the woman with another male and female during a Saturday night party on Longmeadow Drive. The victim told reporters she continuously blacked out throughout the evening, but Colbert denies anything ever took place. "I was at the wrong place, wrong time, and my name got caught up in something," he expressed to WREG, calling the victim a liar.
With his newfound success, iHeart Memphis hopes these allegations don't damage his image and will fight the case. We spoke with detectives handling the case who said no more details can be released due to the ongoing investigation. Stay tuned for more info.
